About Me

Sanchez-Kosa began her career at Sacramento City College in Sacramento, California, where she held the positions of reporter, advertising manager, sports editor, managing editor and editor-in-chief. She also took photography and used her skills at the school paper.  She then moved on to the Roseville Press Tribune where she was an editor/page designer but writing beckoned and the Woodland Daily Democrat was her next destination. For the first year at the Democrat, she covered crime and courts, county and water issues and also took pictures for the paper. In her second year with the company she not only held down her news beat but was promoted to the position of weekend and night editor.
While at the Woodland paper, she got the chance to participate in a program that involved video production with the local public access channel. She was trained in TV production and videography and went on to produce, direct and star in a travel show and a paranormal show.
Four years later, Sanchez-Kosa decided that she wanted to be involved with magazine publication so she took a position with California Builder Magazine. While there she honed her skills as an editor and writer.
A year later, she accepted a writing position with the Placerville Mountain Democrat. where she covered water issues, education, health and general assignment duties.
Now, in addition to freelancing for various publications in the Sacramento area, Sanchez-Kosa is also the editor of the Norcal Observer, an online newspaper.
